Step 2: How to Measure – 5 Key Points

Have your child stand naturally with feet together, arms relaxed, and without shoes.

A. Height

Measure from the top of the head straight down to the floor (barefoot).

B. Hollow to Floor

Measure from the center of the collarbone (the “hollow”) straight down to the floor. This determines dress length and train style.

C. Bust

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest. Keep the tape level and snug—but not tight. Leave room for one finger.

D. Waist

Find the natural waist (usually the narrowest part, just above the belly button). Measure around it comfortably.

E. Hips

Measure around the fullest part of the hips (typically 7–9 inches below the waist). Ensure your child’s feet are together.

My daughter is 3 and I’m the 99% percentile for height and weight. In regular clothes she wears a 5T, so we went with a size 6 in this dress. I was happy with the fit even though we could have probably done a size 4! It was a little big in the back where it buttoned. The fact that it has a corset really helped, because I was able to lace it up and tie it tight enough to where it had a better fit!

To make the dress appear more full and like a ball gown, we wore a petticoat underneath.

I bought a white dress for my 5 year old daughter because she wanted to be a bride for Halloween. I shopped around for ages and finally decided on this one. I took a chance and bought it because there were no picture reviews. The dress is very well made and very pretty. My daughter loves it. I did buy a petticoat to make it puffy but it has enough volume even without it. Don't hesitate to buy this one. It's beautiful.

This dress was bought for a Daddy Daughter Dance where dressing in a ball gown like dress is almost mandatory. Well this dress knocked it out of the park, she received so many compliments. The quality was well worth what the dress cost. I bought a petticoat for her to wear underneath just to add extra fluff, but I don't think it needed it. It was very nice without it, as is. There a corset tie up option for the back, but I didn‘t even bother with it because it fit her perfect just buttoning it up.

I was a wee bit concerned bc in some pictures it looked pink but after seeing it on my little and crying bc of how grown up she looked for her daddy daughter dance I had fallen in love with this dress. It is STUNNING! Lace in Corset built in the back and buttons down to hide it ugh its amazing. Super good quality, I could go on and on all day! Hit buy like now!! You cannot find this quality dress ANYWHERE for this price!

Beautiful Gown, Beware of Sizing!

This dress is as gorgeous and of high quality as described in the reviews. However, I ordered a size 5/6, as this size was listed. What I received was a size 6/7. Then when I went back to look into exchanging this item on Amazon for the actual size I had actually ordered, I found that the 5/6 no longer existed, and sizing had completely changed for this dress. Now, there is no size 5/6 or even a 6/7. My only option is to go down to a size 4 or go with a size 6, as even number sizes replaced the previous sizing and are all that is available now. Neither option works for me, so this was a huge disappoint for Christmas!

Beautiful

This dress is beautiful and exactly what we wanted. My daughter absolutely loves it. We do have a hoop skirt underneath. She went to the father daughter dance and everyone was complimenting her dress. Loved that the button loops were stretchy. Also loved the corset lacing underneath. Its is very beautiful and totally worth the buy.
