Step 2: How to Measure – 5 Key Points

Have your child stand naturally with feet together, arms relaxed, and without shoes.

A. Height

Measure from the top of the head straight down to the floor (barefoot).

B. Hollow to Floor

Measure from the center of the collarbone (the “hollow”) straight down to the floor. This determines dress length and train style.

C. Bust

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the chest. Keep the tape level and snug—but not tight. Leave room for one finger.

D. Waist

Find the natural waist (usually the narrowest part, just above the belly button). Measure around it comfortably.

E. Hips

Measure around the fullest part of the hips (typically 7–9 inches below the waist). Ensure your child’s feet are together.

The dress already has layered tulle to create a beautiful princess look, but if you would like a more dramatic ball gown effect like the pictures, we recommend wearing a tulle petticoat/hoop skirt underneath.

It will add extra volume and make the skirt look fuller and more elegant for weddings, parties, and special occasions. 😊
